New Director of Admissions

Bart graduated from Transylvania University and earned a Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. He has worked as a treatment social worker for the state of New Mexico and has served as global mission intern for Disciples-UCC Global Ministries in Cape Town, South Africa. He returned to the United States to work in the mission personnel office of the Disciples Division of Overseas Ministries in Indianapolis, with a special focus on missionary recruitment and training. He also administered and supervised overseas volunteer and young adult programs. Since 2004, he has been an admissions counselor at Transylvania University, with special responsibility for Disciples of Christ recruitment. At Transylvania, he has worked with the enrollment management program we have in place at LTS. We anticipate a smooth transition and expect Bart to build upon the strong foundation laid by our previous Director of Development, Erika Smith.

Bart is married to an ordained Disciples minister and is the son of a Disciples minister and LTS graduate.
